Dear Parent,
It is with deep regret/concern that we inform you of a recent loss to our school community. On December 11, 2023, one of our students suffered the tragic loss of a parent. The loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school, especially the students.
Spring Mills Middle, supported by Berkeley County Schools, has a Crisis Intervention Team made up of professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents, and school personnel at difficult times such as this. Today our school had trained crisis counselors available for any student who wanted or needed help or any type of assistance surrounding this loss. We encourage you, as parents, to also feel free to use our resources.
