April 2023
From the Principal's Desk
Greetings!
Riverbend students will be taking the MAP test April 26th through May 5th . 7th grade students will be tested in the areas of English Language Arts and Math. 8th grade students will test in those same subjects with the addition of Science. During the first week of testing, we will run a 2nd trimester schedule so that students who had a "B" section of ELA, Math, or Science 2nd trimester will be able to test with their content area teachers. During the 2nd week of testing, we will shift back to our normal 3rd trimester schedule so that students currently in a "B" section of ELA, Math, or Science will also be able to test with their current content area teachers.
Here are a few other important reminders:
- In order to avoid disruptions, students arriving late to school will not be allowed into their 1st period class if they are testing. They will be directed to the library until the end of the period. If you are dropping off your student in the morning, please make sure they arrive by 7:30 am.
- If a student is absent during any portion of the test period, they will make up any missed testing on our designated make-up days.
- Breakfast will be free for all students during testing.
- Please encourage your student to get a good night's sleep prior to testing.
- Good attendance is vital. Please try to avoid scheduling any appointments or activities during our testing dates.
Thank you for your help and support as we prepare our students for these important tests.
