Please notify the office by 2:00pm if your student has a transportation change for the day.

Positive Behavior Interventions and Support

At Maple Grove we use PBIS to teach students the expectations for behavior during the school day.

What is PBIS?

The purpose of PBIS is to establish a climate in which appropriate behavior is the norm.

  1. Creates and maintains a safe and effective learning environment.

  2. Ensures all students have social skills needed for success at school and beyond.

  3. Provides a proactive system-wide framework for implementation.

At school, we do this through creating lessons to teach the expected behaviors throughout the year. At home, you can reinforce the lessons by using similar language.

Therapy Dog at Maple Grove!

Buddy, the Fleeman family golden doodle, is Maple Grove's therapy dog! Mrs. Hennrich will be teaching lessons about how to safely be around him. Approach, Ask, Pet, Goodbye will be the 4 main rules. Parents, a permission slip will be coming home with more information.

Social and Emotional Resources for Families

Each week at Maple Grove our teachers are teaching, modeling, and practicing social and emotional lessons. We want to provide families resources to support social and emotional learning at home. Each month I will be linking grade level specific parent resources. Thank you for helping reinforce these lessons at home!

Dismissal has gotten smoother each day we have been in session. Thank you for being patient with us during dismissal time. Your child's safety is very important to us. As we get to know names and faces better our dismissal times will continue to get better and better!
