Hello Mill Valley Families,
We would like to give a HUGE shout out to our amazing custodial team and summer help! They have worked many hours to brighten our school and make it SHINE!
We look forward to seeing you next week at our Student Summit days and on the first day of school, Thursday, August 24th!
Remember, our kindergartners have a staggered start, (see details below). In addition, our kindergarten teachers will be meeting their students outside door 13 to walk them in for the first several weeks of school.

A Note From Home ~ After School Dismissal Plan
Please be sure to fill out A Note from Home for each student so we know their dismissal plan, especially on the first day of school.
Yellow Notes will be in each classroom for you to complete while your student is meeting with their teacher.
Traffic Flow at Mill Valley
Overview of Student Drop-Off in the Morning
Students can be dropped off at 8:55 am. Students are allowed to enter the building at 9:00 am.
Students in Grade 1 and Grade 4 will enter Door 12 near the playground blacktop.
Students in Kindergarten, Grade 2, and Grade 3 will enter Door 13 near the front lot.
There are two options for Parent Drop-Off in the morning.:
Option 1: Follow the flow of traffic into the parking lot to the playground blacktop. Cars will pull forward to the sidewalk and students exit the vehicle independently. Students then proceed to their assigned grade level door. Traffic pattern shown on the map with green arrow.
Option 2: Park in the front lot and walk with your student to the their assigned grade level door. Parking lot shown on the map in blue.

Overview of Parent Pick-Up in the Afternoon
All parents must enter the parking lot southbound on Hillendale Drive by turning RIGHT into the parking lot. ONLY buses will be allowed to turn left into the parking lot (northbound on Hillendale Drive). Students are dismissed at 3:45 pm. If you are utilizing Parent Pick-Up, please follow the traffic pattern below. Be sure to have your Pink Family Name Sign visible to the staff member on duty wearing a pink safety vest.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking and waiting along the side of Hillendale is not allowed. We highly recommend arriving after 3:45 once the lot is open.

Free and Reduced Lunches - Should a family qualify, there are free and reduced options for lunches available for students K-12. Details about the program for all students are found below:

- MHS Ala carte meal rates as noted on the monthly menu will apply.

Linked below are the directions for accessing the two accounts; you will need to be able to login as your student. It is the goal of the library to provide the right material for the right student; please use Novelist K-8 (provided by Badgerlink) to see professional and varied reviews. If you have additional needs or questions regarding the library materials your student accesses, please contact 4K-8th Grade School Librarian, Toni Heinowski.

Meet Mary Dziegielewski- Clinical Psychology Associates Services
We are proud to continue to partner with Clinical Psychology Associates (CPA) to offer on-site counseling services for students enrolled in Lakeview Elementary, Mill Valley Elementary, Bay Lane Elementary, Lake Denoon Middle, Muskego Lakes Middle, and Muskego High School. For information about CPA’s services and therapists or to get started with an appointment, please visit our website. Therapeutic services will continue into the 2023-24 school year as well.
Meet Mary Dziegielewski! She holds a Master of Science degree in Art Therapy with an emphasis in counseling, from Mount Mary University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT) and is working toward becoming a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). Mary's specialties include working with students with anxiety, self esteem, coping skills, grief, managing complicated emotions and school concerns.
