Over 5,000 homeschool students and parents have attended Economic Thinking workshops on the economics of the national debate topics. Economic Thinking workshops explain economic principles relevant to national debate topics. Economic freedom reforms are central to the NCFCA topic on foreign policy regarding international terrorism. USFG programs to reduce terrorism have promoted democracy and funded elections but often failed to advance economic reforms. In Islamic countries, billions spent for “nation building” have failed to improve economic freedom and opportunities for everyday people. Anti-market and anti-U.S. groups attract and entrap young men and women who oppose their western-supported and corrupt governments and find few opportunities to support themselves and their families.
