Dear Parents
We have arrived at winter break after a busy start to the academic year. Thank you for your flexibility, support, and trust since our return to school in August. The end of the calendar year brought us our National Day celebrations, DAAPA winter bazaar, our sports teams in action and our MOGA (Most Outrageous Games and Activities) Day; It has been a pleasure to see our community coming together for our different events in recent weeks.
This week our MS/HS students performed their fantastic production, “The Music Man”. So much hard work and energy go into such a production. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the students, staff members, and parents involved for their collective efforts to ensure that the audience experienced an outstanding show. Well done to all. After a long term, we had our Most Outrageous Games and Activities (MOGA) celebration today, Friday. Our students had the chance to experience various activities and games within and between CREW classes, with healthy competition being the order of the day!
As we enter a time of gift-giving, a reusable water bottle would be a wonderful stocking filler for your middle schooler as we continue to support a more sustainable school environment and the Dubai Can initiative. On that note, our water vending machine will move from commons 3 to the cafeteria. Therefore, students will not be able to purchase water during lessons.
Entering into a break from school gives us all an opportunity to reflect upon the past few months, and to celebrate our success and achievements, both in class and in our varied activities. We also have an opportunity to consider where we can improve as we start fresh in 2023. Please take the time to sit with your child and have those important conversations.
