District schools honor former military service members
Schools throughout Springdale Public Schools honored former military service members
Nov. 10-11 in Veterans Day events and ceremonies.
Don Tyson School of Innovation
Don Tyson School of Innovation honored veterans with a celebratory assembly. The event featured patriotic performances by the Symphonic Band, the Chamber Choir and the Phoenix Dance Academy, as well as student literary works and keynote speakers
retired U.S. Navy Cmdr. Michael Schutz and Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin.

Springdale High School students had the opportunity to have lunch with veterans from our community at an event sponsored by McDonalds.
The students also asked questions about the cadet soldiers' experiences as service members and what life is like serving in the military.

John Tyson Elementary fourth graders sang, and third-grade EAST students made a presentation at a Veterans Day event. The students honored veterans at the school and
friends and family of the school family.
The fourth-grade students will perform the Veterans Day program again for family, friends and veterans at 6 p.m. on Nov. 14 at the school
