What's Happening??!!

Dear Hawley Parents/Guardians, Teachers, and Staff,

Parent Teacher Conferences were wonderful. Loved seeing home and school come together to support our students. Many FUN events on the horizon (Trunk-or-Treat, Spooktacular & Fun Run). Can't wait!

Buckle up, stay seated, and keep your hands and feet in the car at all times, as you read on to find out

What's Happening at Hawley .....

This fun activity for students begins at 6 pm in the Reed parking lot. Come and walk around to see all the decorated trunks and receive candy for your efforts ;0)

Still plenty of parking spots available for your car. The more cars, the more fun. Be creative, can even join forces with friends. Click HERE to register your Trunk for the event. Looking forward to seeing all the costumes and decorations (and sampling the treats ;0)~

The Spooktacular follows the Trunk-or-Treat, 7:00 pm in the Reed Cafeteria. Come in Costume. There will be music, games and light refreshments.

PLUS

• Project Pizza will be accepting orders as early as Tuesday through Wednesday at 3 pm. They will deliver all orders to Reed free of charge. The PTA will have a table outside for all orders labeled with your name. Please call (203) 491-2141 to place your order and let them know it is for the “Hawley PTA Event”.
• Refreshments will be sold during the Spooktacular. PTA accepts Venmo and Cash.
• There will be Auction Items for Fun Activities with Hawley Teachers and Staff.

The PTA still is in need of volunteers to help decorate so please reach out to Jessica Matta (jessicalmatta@gmail.com), Jen Levy (jlr217@yahoo.com) or Jessica Briante (jess71178@gmail.com). Set up will begin at 4pm in the Cafeteria

Our BIG Fundraiser this year is the Fun Run. It is THIS Friday. K-1 will come to Reed for this Whole School Activity. Permission slips went home, please return ASAP. ALL Students MUST bring lunch from home Friday as if going on a Field Trip as we are picnic lunching on the field.

Money raised will be used to purchase items for our Return to Hawley that Teachers and Students have always wanted

• 1 class, in each grade, with the highest amount raised will get an ice cream party
• If we hit our goal of $10,000, the PTA will arrange an exciting BMX Assembly

We are currently at $5,350.

Current Top in each grade: Tatto, Pirone, Fusco, Boxer, Albano

Current Top 5 Overall: Tatto ($960), Boxer ($790), Pirone ($550), Fusco ($545), Annesley ($430). WOW!

• K-1 Parents, please return permission slips ASAP for the Fun Run as students will be going over to Reed.
• Lunches from home needed Friday for the Fun Run.
• Veteran's Day Stars for our Wall of Honor. Students can honor a Veteran in your family. Please send them in when completed.
• Since we are in two buildings that students are unfamiliar, combined with the end of the day being very busy, we ask that no students be picked up between 3:00-3:25 PM.
