Principal's Desk
Principal’s Lunch
It was so fun to have lunch with our Bobcat and Trait of the Month students on Friday. This was for students that exhibited the trait of Compassion.
The students enjoy time together to talk and they also love to go on the balcony to wave at their peers.
1st Grade Learning
1st graders in Sra. Gallego’s class focused on many objectives today during math. They focused on the area of their foot. They counted how many cubes it took to fill in their foot, this was after they made an estimate. They then counted the cubes and displayed their data in a graph.
Stem-a-Thon
The Stem-a-Thon has begun. Thanks to Mrs. Wallace for leading this endeavor. Also, thanks to all of the parent volunteers for supporting our students.
The students are enjoying the stations when they go to the Stem-a-Thon activities.
This is our main fundraiser for the year. We are hoping to raise $20,000, so that we can purchase a mounted projector for the MPR.
1st Grade Robotics
The 1st graders in Sra. Hippner’s class enjoyed building a car that would help Daniel to explore a cave. They had to work with a partner and take turns, but they also had to program their car so that the light on the car lit up the cave for Daniel.
What great learning, not only to program and code, but also to work with a partner and take turns. Engagement was high during the Robotics class.
To all our Bobcat Writers
The CFSD Poetry contest is beginning this Friday, February 2nd! Please submit your best poem to the contest by February 21st. You need to type or write your poem neatly, and put your name, your grade level, and your teacher's name on the back of the paper. You will also need to fill out an entry form that needs to be signed by a guardian. Three poems will be selected from each grade level to move forward to the district competition. You can turn your poems into your classroom teacher. This is a fun way to share your amazing writing with the Ventana Vista community- so get creative and start writing today!
