What an incredible performance! We've got such a talented group of students, and I'm glad that our student body and many family members were able to see them in action. A huge thank you to parents Elizabeth O'Neill and Abby Hall for getting the event off the ground, and another thank you to all of the students who were brave enough to share their hard work with the Irvington community!

Fifth grade families, please join us under the covered area on the last day of school, June 14, at 1:20 to watch your student be "clapped out" and promoted! The clap out will happen indoors at 1:15 (students only inside, please), so all families should be in the fifth grade area outside under the covered area to begin a short promotion ceremony by 1:30. The fifth grade party will begin immediately following the ceremony by 1:45. Please reach out directly to our fifth grade teachers, Ms Szucs and Mr Ogletree, with questions or to sign up for party support! You can reach them at cszucs@pps.net and deogletree@pps.net.

The PTA is starting to plan the Back-to-School Kickoff to bring us back together at the end of the summer! In recent years, it's been held the Thursday evening the week before school starts, and we're trying to find out if this is the best date for most or if there's a different date that would work better for you and your family. Please also note that we're planning to scale back the event to make planning simpler and the volunteer load lighter.

We’ve almost made it through the whole school year providing two volunteers EVERY DAY to help Rie serve lunch in the cafeteria! Give yourself a big pat on the back if you’ve been one of the many helpers this year! The week of June 5 still has a few holes to fill. If you’re dying to get one more lunch shift in, now’s the time to sign up before it’s too late!

The final PTA Meeting of the 2022-2023 school year is next Monday, June 5, in Room 108A. As always, free childcare and dinner will begin at 6pm, with the meeting starting at 6:30. Ring the buzzer or text the phone number on the front door to be let in.

At this last meeting, we’ll have committee updates, a vote to approve the proposed budget for the 2023-2024 school year, and nominations for and voting in of the 2023-2024 PTA Exec Team. It’s an important one - we hope to see many of you there!

Only two more restaurant nights to go, and the next one is Tuesday, June 6, from 5-10pm at McMenamin’s Broadway Pub! This is a big one, folks, so we hope to have a huge turn out. McMenamin’s generously donates 50% of the night’s proceeds on food and beverages for dine in and take out orders (gift cards not included). Wow, thank you, McMenamin’s! Check out their menu here and plan to come get your Might Mac & Cheese, Scooby Snacks, and Tots next Tuesday!

The final Family Gym Night is next Thursday, June 8, from 5:30-7:30pm. Join us for a good time in the Irvington Gym with open gym, organized games, music and fun! Please enter through the gym doors at the back of the school and stick around to supervise your kiddo!

Come find your child's lost items before the end of the school year! Lost and found items will be outside Tuesday, June 6, at drop off and Thursday, June 8, at pickup. If you’re not able to come during these times, you may also visit the Lost & Found area at school at a different time - just check in at the front office first!

Thanks to all who participated in the Wednesday Walk and Roll to School Days during the month of May! The students earned 2 extra recesses, and over 115 students participated each Wednesday.

The Irvington office will be closing for the summer on June 23. While families are able to register online anytime, it can be helpful to be able to ask us questions about the registration process before we shut down. If you have an incoming kindergartener, please complete the registration process prior to June 23!
