Veteran's Day Assembly

A few weeks back we began discussing our plans for our annual Veteran's Day Program. This year, our seniors will be telling the stories of Veterans in their families or from our community. In addition to sharing their stories, our art department will display their projects honoring Veterans, and we will have performances from our elementary students, band, and choir.

Time: 9 am (reception to follow)

Location: PHS Gym

The program will begin at 9 am and all community Veterans are welcome to join us - we would love to honor you. Immediately following the program will be a reception for all Veterans and their guests.

High School Football @ Olpe

After a big win over Erie on Friday night, we look forward to traveling to Olpe this Friday night. This begins the first round of post-season play, and in Olpe we are not permitted to stream games. Olpe streams its games through the NFHS network, so we cannot offer competing services. When we have the link we will post it for you to access!

Dress Code

Just a reminder to all students, our dress code can be found in the planners and on our school website in the student handbook. Additionally, Mrs. Conley spoke to each 1st-hour class during the days prior to the fall breather, regarding some dress code reminders.

Please remember that blankets are not permitted in classrooms, as it gets colder we see an increase in the number of blankets used in place of coats or sweatshirts. If you need help with cold-weather clothing, please contact Mrs. Conley or the Nest and we will some additional layers.

Sportsmanship and Rule 52

At any game or event, the worst feeling for an administrator is that they would have to address an athlete, coach, or fan regarding behavior. Passion and pride sometimes mix with frustration and show up in negative ways that can adversely impact the school, team, and community.

At all events, our goal is to provide a positive experience for our athletes and coaches. We want to cheer them on, provide encouragement and support them whether they win or lose. PHS Pride has been a goal this year, and our students have risen to the occasion, they show up and cheer each other on. I am so proud that our student section is growing into a fun and positive environment for our fans and athletes.

Below is the link to Rule 52 from KSHSAA - I encourage you to review these rules with your family. As we approach basketball season, you will see more leadership from our students in the area of sportsmanship, prior to each game our athletes will provide these reminders to fans to help promote a positive environment.
