Cucinella Weekly Wrap-Up #16
Week of January 1, 2024
"IT ALWAYS SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL IT IS DONE" -- NELSON MANDELA
Week Sixteen:
Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024! As we bid farewell to the festivities and welcome the new year, it's with great excitement that I extend a warm welcome back to Cucinella Elementary School. Returning to school after the holiday season marks the beginning of a brand new chapter filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and new adventures. I trust that each of you had cherished moments with family and friends, and now we're ready to embark on the second half of the school year.
In our first week back, the halls were buzzing with excitement as the students shared stories of their time away from school. Our dedicated teachers were excited to get back into the routine of school and continue nurturing and inspiring our students' curiosity as we continue to work through the yearly curriculum.
As we reunite in our classrooms, let's embrace this opportunity for new beginnings, friendships, and discoveries. Let's support one another, celebrate achievements, and create lasting memories together. Here's to a fantastic start to the new year! I look forward to an exciting and productive trimester ahead, filled with learning, laughter, and memorable moments.
I also want to take a moment to give a brief update on reassignments within our SRO population. SRO Adam Feitcher will now be working at Long Valley Middle School. We want to thank Officer Feitcher for all his help over the past two years here at Cucinella, you will be missed. Thank you for everything you did around the building to help our students and staff! In his place, we welcome aboard Sgt. Jim Burns who will now be the SRO at Cucinella for the remainder of the year. Sgt. Burns has spent his first week getting acclimated to Cucinella by meeting students and staff. If you see Sgt. Burns around the campus, don't forget to say hello!
We appreciate your ongoing support, and stay tuned for more exciting events and updates from Cucinella! If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact me at cperruso@wtschools.org.
