Dear Kennedy Families,

I hope this finds you well. We had another strong week at school. Students have done an outstanding job bringing returnable bottles and cans for our Wounded Warriors Project. Next week, we are excited to host our Veterans Day assembly on Thursday, November 10th at 9:00 AM. I am hoping as many of Waltham's Veterans are able to attend as possible. The students are really looking forward to thank them for their service. Also we have no school on Tuesday, November 8 due to election day. Please enjoy the beautiful weekend.

National Junior Honor Society (8th Grade Students Only)

All applications for the National Junior Honor Society are due Thursday, November 10th. Students must TURN IN their application to the NJHS Google Classroom page. This is a hard date and no late applications will be accepted. Applications are in the National Junior Honor Society Google Classroom page and a sample application is there to help students out. Mrs. Scichilone will be after school on Monday, November 7th, if any student needs help filling out their application. Veterans Day Assembly

Kennedy Middle School is hosting a Veterans Day Assembly on Thursday, Nov. 10. There will be a reception for Veterans at 9 AM with the Student Council followed by a school assembly at 10 AM. Please share this invitation with any Veterans in your life - we would love to have them join us! We will also be having an essay contest for students who would like to participate, additional information attached. Finally, as a part of our Veterans Day celebration, we will be putting together a Wall of Heroes to honor friends and family members of the Kennedy community who are Veterans. If you have a Veteran you would like to honor, please fill out this form by Friday (11/4). You can fill out the form as many times as you would like.
