District Update - August 15

Superintendent's Message
I am not sure how it happened, but it seems we have blinked, and it is already mid-August! It’s hard to believe but in a few short weeks, we will welcome our students, families, and community back to campus for the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
Below we have compiled a short "Back-to-School Guide" of important dates and information leading up to September 5. Additionally, each building will also follow up with its own informational newsletter next Friday, August 25. Families are encouraged to check our district website and building web pages for additional information as needed.
As always, do not hesitate to contact your building principal or the Board Office (440-748-5353) with any questions or concerns. Enjoy the final days of summer!
Take care,
Dr. Willingham

Free & Reduced Meal Application
Approximately 42% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. We encourage all families to submit a free and reduced meal application even if you are unsure if your child/children will qualify.
The application process is easy and takes less than 10 minutes!
Applications are completely confidential and will not be shared outside of the district office. Since yearly financial situations change from year-to-year, families must fill out a new application each year.
Every eligible form counts and is a valuable resource for our school. Submitting an application ensures that all Midview families can access key benefits.
Please visit our Food Services web page to read more about Free & Reduced and to complete the application.

Meet Your Building Leadership
As shared at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year, the Midview Board of Education approved the transition of several administrators into new roles. Over the summer months, the remaining vacancies were filled and a few additional internal transitions were completed.
Please join us in welcoming our returning (and new) leadership to our buildings and the district! They look forward to serving our students and families.
