Ka Malu o Kaimana Hila

The video below is a HIKI NŌ Student Reflection created by students at Waikīkī School. This online premiere is part of a new HIKI NŌ on PBS Hawaiʻi initiative to foster student engagement through the sharing of stories on a digital platform. This story will later be curated into a half-hour HIKI NŌ broadcast episode that will air on PBS Hawaiʻi at a later date. Their outstanding work will now reach two different worlds: the online realm and the broadcast audience.

The creation of this national-PBS-quality Reflection was possible because of the innovation of our two outstanding media teachers, Ms. Amy Wada and Mr. Jason Marvel and the talent and determination of their students and teaching team. Here is the crew that created this story:

Our Winter Store is a place where all of our Waikiki School students go to shop for "TRADITIONAL" gifts or "I LOVE YOU" gifts. The gifts are then paid for and lovingly wrapped by volunteers.

Waikiki School is putting out its final call to all parents, guardians, grandparents, uncles, aunties, big brothers, big sisters, neighbors, & friends! We need your help to wrap gifts! Don’t know how? We’ll be more than happy to teach you!

Volunteers are needed to help sort, price & man our Winter Store. Please click on the button below. It’s a lot of fun and your help is vital in making our Winter Store a success! If you are able to stay longer, please feel free to do so. If you can only cover for an hour, then do so. If you can’t, don’t worry!

If you have already signed up, there is nothing further you need to do. Auntie Dolly will be sending an update email by Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.
