Where does one begin to design instruction and assessment to aid students in achievement of music and visual art performance-based standards?

This “hands-on” workshop will guide K-12 educators in deconstruction of the Iowa Fine Arts Standards towards practical instruction and authentic assessment applications.

Included will be an overview of the National Core Arts Standards Components, Model Cornerstone Assessments, and “how to steps” towards addressing performance-based standards through instruction and assessment.

Robyn Swanson is a Fine Arts Author of the National Core Arts Standards and Professor at Western Kentucky University. Robyn has provided many workshops nationally and internationally for fine arts instructors on many different facets of arts education and has authored numerous publications.
