PreK-2nd Family Reading Afternoon
November 12th 3:00pm-4:00pm
Join us on November 12th in the Media Center for our first Family Afternoon Reading Session.
This year we want to celebrate the importance of reading. We will be having four afternoon reading sessions for you to come and enjoy an hour of reading fun. These events are open to parents and students. Students will only be able to participate if they have a parent or guardian with them. During these events we will be doing activities that you can do at home to help your child become a more proficient reader.
Each nine weeks the event will be centered around one of your child's favorite characters. This nine weeks it is Pete the Cat. We will start the afternoon off with a story then rotate around the media center for fun reading activities that you and your child can enjoy together. There will be crafts to make, games to play, activities to do, and possibly a guest speaker at one of our events.
We are excited to offer you this chance to enjoy an afternoon of reading fun.
