BIDDEFORD MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
October 27, 2021
Good Afternoon Parents & Guardians,
As we see the month of October come to a close, we also bid farewell to the end of our Fall Sports Season. We are now entertaining sign-ups for our winter sports season. Parents are encouraged to contact Karl Lebreux (klabreux@biddefordschools.me) with any questions regarding winter sports at Biddeford Middle School.
The beginning of November brings the close to the first quarter. Parent-Teacher Conferences will occur on November 3rd. As the winter months begin to creep up on us, please let us know if we can support you or your family with hats, mittens, warm clothes, or shoes. Lastly, we have partnered with the local food pantry and have been offering a free food distribution every couple of weeks. If there is anything more that we can do to support your family, please be in touch with somebody at school.
Sincerely,
Mr. Scott Descoteaux
Principal - Biddeford Middle School

Influenza Vaccination
Influenza (flu) remains a virus which we encourage families to consider annual vaccination. For any students or family members who have not yet been vaccinated, you can schedule an appointment at your doctor’s office, local pharmacies and clinics (click on CDC’s VaccineFinder), or there is a Drive-Thru clinic each Wednesday from 3-6 PM at MaineHealth Care at Home, 15 Industrial Park Road in Saco, through November 10th.
Children's Oral Health Services
Nasson Health Care’s is offering a School-Based Oral Health Program at Biddeford Middle School (November 17, 18 & 19).
Oral health is an important part of a child’s overall health and well-being. Children with good oral health tend to eat well, sleep well, and develop as they should.
A child’s oral health also makes a big difference in their ability to learn. Children with tooth pain often have a hard time finishing tasks or activities in the classroom. They may act out, be withdrawn, or seem tired or depressed.
Please see the attached flier and registration form for more information.
