EOC Dates
End of Course (EOC) dates are quickly approaching. We ask that parents be mindful of these dates when scheduling absences for students, and avoid scheduling absences on these dates.
English I- April 18th
English II- April 19th
Biology - May 2nd
US History - May 3rd
Algebra I - May 10th
Students not taking an EOC will not have to report to campus until 1:30 on testing days. We will run a modified, four period schedule starting at 1:30 and ending at the traditional end of the school day.

iDigi Festival Results
Students in our Media, Art, and Design Communications classes attended the annual, all day event--the iDigi Festival, held at South Plains College hosted by the Creative Arts department just before Spring Break, Thursday, March 9th.
LCHS brought away some Film and Animation as well as some on-site challenge Photography awards. Our MADC dept at LCHS won 10 medals in all, and 2 seniors from LCHS were awarded scholarships out of the 10 Creative Arts scholarships SPC Awarded to senior students who intend to go to SPC in the fall of 2023!

DECA ICDC Qualifiers and Alternates
Congratulations to Shannon McAlister, Haley Reyes, and Miabella Rosa for qualifying for ICDC with their DECA projects, as well as Ashley Mendoza, Pearl Garcia, and Omar Zeitouni who are ICDC alternates! ICDC will take place April 21st in Orlando, Florida.

Concert Band Celebrate Success at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Competition
All three concert band ensembles earned Division 1's in both Concert and Sight Reading at UIL recently. Indoor Percussion won their Scholastic Open class at TECA in Seguin over Spring Break.
Winterguard Finishes Season as NTCA Regional A Champions!
Winterguard ended their season on Saturday at the NTCA Regional A Championships at Lewisville High School. They won first place!

Prom 2023
Prom tickets are available before school and during lunches.
Tickets are free for seniors who attend LCHS. All other tickets are $50! Last day of ticket sales is Friday, March 31.
CTE Spotlight - Cosmetology

Hill & Ioppolo Hosts Healthcare Pathway Symposium - April 1
Students interested in entering the healthcare field are welcome to attend the Healthcare Pathway Symposium hosted by Hill & Ioppolo. They will have breakfast and a resource fair, where students can visit with healthcare professionals from all fields.

How to Report a Student Absence
What if the absence is COVID related?
After submitting an absence in Skyward and indicating that it is Covid related in the comments box, you will receive an email with a Google Form link. Parents must fill out the Google Form and supply evidence of the Covid related absence to ensure that the absence will not count against semester exam exemptions.
