A Message from the Principal
Dear Eccles Families,
We are looking forward to seeing you over the next several days before we break for the summer. As always, I am grateful for your support and for your kids! What a great year!
We will have our field day on Wednesday, June 14 from 8:15-10:30 and we need your help. All parents and caregivers who have completed our volunteer background check may sign up to help at field day. See the link below. Certified and classified staff will take the lead at the stations and make sure it is running smoothly, but we would love to get 2-3 parents for each station for help. Helpers should arrive at the gym no later than 8:15 to check-in with Mr. Bowman. Because of the nature of this day and to keep our students secure, we are not allowing visitors to walk the field or spectate field day. All parents and caregivers who are on campus must follow our security measures: 1) Sign up to help online 2) Check in at the office 3) Report to the gym for instructions from Mr. Bowman.
The weather looks sunny, and if the forecast remains sunny, please send your student with sunscreen already applied and a clean, full water bottle.
Our 6th graders are moving on to Baker Prairie next year and we want to say goodbye to them on Thursday, June 15 from 8:30-9:30. Sixth grade families are invited to join us for our year end assembly. The year end assembly will include our entire school and will include words from me, our 6th grade students, and the reading of our 6th grade names in honor of their many years spent at Eccles Elementary. We will also move each grade level up on the bleachers, have a student raffle, and sweat it out during a 6th grade vs. staff basketball game. We will also clap-out our 6th graders at 11:15 as they leave Eccles as a student for the last time.
Please note that dismissal time is 11:30am on the last day of school.
I hope to see you at one of the events next week to thank you and wish you the best as you head into summer vacation.
See you soon!
Kelly
