BGHS October & November Update

Fall is Here and we are excited for the first break of the year! BGHS has been focus with great progress in the areas of family, community and academic engagement. I am excited to be the Principal of Bridge Gate Community School. We are moving in a great direction to increase the culture and environment of the school.

Highlights:

• Family Fall Festival - 20 parents/ family members came to be a part of the fun activities.
• 1st Award Ceremony - We celebrated our students with light refreshments and parent engagement. Top Awards: 15 Honor Roll students, 7 Leadership Awards and 30 Academic Awards
• Career Based Intervention Events - Community Heros -Special Guests Ohio House Representative Ismail Mohamed, Deba Uwadiae - New Americans Magazine, Alphy Tongor and Zari Parker - JPS Print.
• House Celebration - Top House Alustrismo
• The cell phone policy implementation has given students an opportunity to connect and engage with each other socially.
• Day of Service - Students participated in writing friendly letters to Veterans home and abroad.
• Thank you, Sahara Columbus for the Happy Birthday Kits and Thanksgiving Food Bags.
