2022-2023 School Year at Central Elementary

We are gearing up and already getting excited for our 2022-2023 school year! Below is some information that we want you to be aware of as the month of July starts to come to a close. We will continue to communicate via our newsletters, all calls, and emails. As always, if you have any questions or concerns that come up, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help and support your child(ren) on their educational journey. Have a great rest of the summer.

Don't Forget to...

Update all of your registration information for the 22-23 school year. Use the link below to update your information on our school information system. If you haven't done this yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Transportation Note: If your child(ren) will be riding the bus, you must complete the transportation form as a part of registration. Your child(ren) will not be able to ride school transportation until the transportation form is completed.

Please take care of the registration forms now so you don't have any setbacks or hiccups to start the school year.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT August 18

Our open house will be on Thursday, August 18, from 5pm - 7pm. This is a great time for all students and families to come in to the building, students will meet their teacher, and students will be able to drop off supplies so they are ready to go for the first day of school.

This is a great night to help relieve some first day of school anxiety for students.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL August 23

Our first day of school will be on Tuesday, August 23. This will be a full day of school.

Students can start entering the building at 7:15. Breakfast will be served as soon as the doors open. We start dismissing students for buses at 2:40. Parent pickups take place after buses depart.

Parent Teacher Organization

Want to become more involved and take an active role as a parent at Central Elementary this year?

Joining our PTO is a great place to start. Our PTO will have a table setup during our Back to School Night on August 18. They will be able to answer questions and provide more information about PTO's role for the upcoming school year. Class Lists

Class lists will be sent to you on August 1 in our school mailer. Be on the lookout for the mailer as it has other helpful information for you.

Supply Lists

School supply lists have been emailed out. You can also find them on our Central Website and on our facebook page. Lists are specific to grade levels.

Lunch & Breakfast Accounts

Our students need healthy meals to learn. Union R-XI School District offers healthy meals every school day. Your child(ren) may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. This link provides an application to see if you qualify for free and reduced meals. We would like ALL families to fill out an application to ensure all families that are eligible be accounted for.
