The BIS Bulletin

Our first day of school is Monday, August 22. Please note that the doors will not open until 7:30a.m. Also, traffic may be heavy the first few days of school during morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Please be patient and mindful of those around you.

All students will be required to bring their own water bottle from home. If a student should forget their water bottle, the office will provide a foam cup. If students repeatedly forget their water bottle, contact will be made with parents.

Please note that students will be charged for breakfast and lunch this coming school year. If you believe you qualify for Free or Reduced meals please fill out the form linked on the elementary website. This can be turned in to the office at any time. We will also have copies available at Meet the Teacher Night.

• Full priced breakfast $1.50
• Reduced priced student lunches $0.40
• Reduced breakfast $0.30
• Adult lunches $3.50

Extra milk, each (must pay in advance) $0.40

Information regarding our annual fundraiser will be going home the first week of school. There are incentives for the total number of items sold!

Morning Drop Off Procedures:

*Drop off will remain the same as the past.

*Cars will enter through the main entrance. (There will be two lines of traffic and this will NOT be an exit.)

*If you are dropping a student off at BIS, you can stay in the RIGHT lane and go directly in front of the school to drop off. Then circle around to BES to drop off students.

*If you are ONLY dropping off an elementary student, you can use the LEFT lane to go into the middle parking lot and around to the front of the elementary building.

*There will be teachers/staff to assist the students getting out of the car.

*All students will report to the gymnasium each morning.

All cars should exit near the elementary school playground, driving around the gravel parking lot, towards the middle school.

*Reminder that there will be heavy traffic the first few days of school. If you would like to take a picture of your child, please be sure to park in the middle parking lot and use the crosswalk to enter school as the car rider line is continuous and only pauses to drop students off.

Afternoon Pick Up Procedures:

*The main entrance to the elementary and intermediate school will be CLOSED. (There will be signs posted.)

*Car rider pick up will enter through the gravel lot entrance and circle around the outside of the lot.

*There will be two lines that are formed. The RIGHT hand side will be those that have only a BIS student OR a BIS and BES student. The LEFT hand side will be those that have ONLY a BES student.

*When signaled, the first cars will proceed to either BES or BIS.

*A staff member will be located outside with a walkie talkie. The parent/guardian will let the staff member know who they are picking up.

*The staff member will direct them to a specific cone. The student(s) will go to that cone for pick up.

All cars should exit near the elementary school playground, driving around the gravel parking lot, towards the middle school.

A Blair Oaks Athletic Event Pass can be purchased for an entire family (parents and children KG-12th grade) or for an individual. The pass is good for all middle school and high school home games during the school year with the exception of district events hosted by Blair Oaks for MSHSAA, Missouri State High School Activities Association.

• A family pass may be purchased for $135.00.
• An individual pass may be purchased for $55.00.

• Payment must be sent to the Blair Oaks High School office.
  Passes will be issued upon receipt of payment.
