Tips for a smooth carline!
~ Do not get out of your car to let your child out. Our teachers and 8th graders will help the K and 1st grade students until they get used to exiting the car on their own.
~ Please have a clear sign with your family's last name in the dashboard during afternoon car line.
~ Refer to the diagram above for reminders of the car line traffic pattern.
Thank you for helping us have some very smooth car lines each day! I am grateful for your partnership and it is amazing to see so many students arriving to school on time!
Uniform Reminders
Monthly Math Challenge
This year we will be starting a monthly math challenge for all students grades K-8! Your child brought home their “problem of the day” calendar last week. While this activity is optional, I hope we can have full participation as this will be another way for students to practice basic math skills and engage in an opportunity for enrichment. When a student completes the calendar they should return it to school with their name and homeroom teacher written on the back. If scrap paper is used to complete the problems they should send that in as well. Showing your work is an important habit to practice! Some problems may be solved using mental math, however many of the problems require the students to show their work.
There will be an incentive each month to encourage students to participate. For September, the homeroom with the highest percentage of participation will receive a dress down day! I hope the students will take advantage of this opportunity and please reach out to me if you have any questions.
Thank you!

SKS school garden
My name is CJ Drobile, and I am a sophomore at Radnor High School. I am also a candidate for Eagle Scout with the Radnor Troop 284 Boy Scouts. One of the requirements to reach Eagle Scout rank entails performing a service project benefiting a non-profit religious institution, school, or other organization in the community. I attended my religious education (PREP) at Saint Katherine of Siena under the supervision of Sister Mary Elizabeth. When I began investigating potential Eagle service projects, I reached out to Principal Crowley at SKS to see what I might be able to do for the school as a way of giving back. Principal Crowley and I identified an old garden area for the school that needed a replacement. With the help of my fellow Scouts from Troop 284, I built and installed raised garden beds to grow plants and vegetables and a new fence to protect the area from animals. I hope the area can become a learning space for SKS students to experience and learn about gardening and nutrition. Additionally, I created a training module on the basics of gardening, nutrition, and how I build the beds and presented it to SKS students in the classroom. I am grateful for this opportunity to give back to my community and contribute to the natural science education of SKS students.
Coming soon... SKS Got Talent!!!
Front Office Reminders
All forgotten lunches, homework, sports gear, books, etc. can be dropped off in the school vestibule. Please label with your child's name and we will make sure they get it.
Students arriving after 8:15am will receive a late pass. Three late arrivals will equal an absence.
Early Pick Up Reminders:
* 2:20pm is the cut off for early dismissals.
* When picking up your child early, please be sure to sign out first at the front office. We will then call your child down to meet you. If your child is in the parish center when you pick up early, please be sure to walk over to the parish center to meet them there after you sign out.

This week we also look forward to our first elective day for grades 5-8 on Friday! The teachers and I have worked hard to bring this program to our middle school and I hope the students enjoy the enrichment it will provide. Thank you for your support!
