Principal's Message

Sunny Heights Families,

On Saturday, January 25th we have two great events for Warren Township and Sunny Heights I encourage anyone interested to attend. The 2020 Legislative Forum will be from 9:00-11:00 am at the WECC (10th & Post). Warren Township welcomes state legislators that represent our district the legislature. The event is a dialogue between those government officials and the public they serve. Also on Saturday morning at 9:00 am, the Sunny Heights Robotics Team will be competing at Triton Central Middle School. The competition runs most of the day so stop by and cheer our students on.

100 days of school

Happy 100th Day from Room 101! Enjoy a picture of Mrs. Henkel's Kindergarten class as they celebrate their 100 days of school on Tuesday, January 22nd. The children did lots of fun things in their classes to help celebrate this milestone.

January Family of the Month

Each month, beginning this year, we are honoring one of our wonderful families. The families will be selected based on the following criteria: Parent or guardian must be a PTA member; students must have good attendance; the family must exhibit C.O.R.E. behavior at all times when in the building. The family of Caleb Edwards was awarded a $25.00 gift card. Congratulations to the January family of the month!

WARREN'S HIGH ABILITY PROGRAM

Warren's High Ability Program is designed to meet the unique academic needs of gifted and talented students. The curriculum in these classes is differentiated and faster paced and students will be working above grade level if they qualify. As a district, we look at all students in grades 1, 4, 6 and 8 to see if they qualify for the following school year based on eligibility criteria. Parent recommendations are considered along with achievement scores when determining placement in high ability. More detailed identification information can be found here. If you would like to complete a recommendation for the broad based planning committee to consider you can do so here 2020-2021 High Ability Parent Recommendation Form The parent recommendation form will be open until January 31, 2020.

Warren Township School District has a new app and website! The purpose of the app and website is to provide regular updates through the live feed, district news, and

district events sections as well as other important district information. The app includes easy access to the weekly breakfast and lunch menu, staff contacts, district documents, bullying and safety reporting form, and much much more. WINTER OUTDOOR RECESS

It is that time of the year when we need to make sure our children have appropriate clothing for recess. We will be going outside for recess if the temperature and the wind chill are above 20 degrees.
