Dear Page Hilltop Families:

This will be the final Smores newsletter for the 2021-2022 school year. The second half of the school year went by so quickly. We are happy to say that we were able to accomplish one of our goals of being able to bring back some of our fun family events that made for special times prior to the pandemic. We had to modify some of the activities but we still enjoyed them.

The weather systems cooperated and we did not have a single event cancelled due to inclement weather.

In these last few weeks, we were able to...

• celebrate Memorial Day outside
• hold our spring concert outside
• host a day full of fun with field days
• send our third graders to Plimoth Patuxet
• host a preschool water fun day
• sponsor an amazing car wash with our student leaders
• bring the kona-ice truck to school for recess treats
• have a water splash challenge - with Mr. Deppe and Mr. Lutinski getting soaked the most
• have a family fun festival with many families and staff in attendance

It was such a great way to end our school year. Having our families back for these events was the best way to end the year. We look forward to many more engaging activities and events next year.

We wish you all a safe and exciting summer vacation. spend time outside ....... read books ...... enjoy time with family and friends ........ have new adventures ...... learn new things.

In August we will resume publication of our Smores newsletters with a summer edition that will provide you with valuable information for the 2022 - 2023 school year.

On Monday, June 13th our 5th-graders had one last field trip as students of Page Hilltop. Students went to Max's country Golf in Tyngsboro to celebrate their accomplishments in elementary school. They had a picnic lunch and ice cream, played a competitive round of mini-golf, rode the bumper boats, and took turns in the batting cages.

Mrs. Harris's preschool students were so excited to graduate from preschool this week. Graduating preschool students received a medal if they were moving up to Kindergarten and all students received a certificate. Students began the ceremony by singing some of the songs they learned this year to their families. Students in Mrs. Harris's class also wanted to share the class books that they wrote with the Page Hilltop community, see the links below...

Mrs. Fitzgerald's class received a wonderful assortment of SEL books from a Page Hilltop family. Students enjoyed reading the books in class during these final days of the school year.

Mr. Whittemore's class set a new and final block-tower record for 2021-2022!

Mrs. Godin's class and Mr. Whittemore's classes REALLY have been challenging and inspiring each other to go just a little higher. Both classes deserve congratulations!

It was a sunny Thursday as the Kona ice truck pulled up to the Page Hilltop playground and stayed there during all of the recess periods so that all preschool-grade 5 students were able to enjoy a delicious Kona-ice treat with their favorite flavor.

Later that afternoon, the students had the opportunity to exchange water blasts with Mr. Deppe and Mr. Lutinski. There was lots of water spraying back and forth but the students definitely soaked us the most.

Our grade 4 and 5 student leaders got together one more time and created some amazing inspiration posted with important SEL messages for all students. These posters will be displayed at the beginning of next school year. After completing this project, we all walked downtown and enjoyed sidewalk cafe dining at the Cottage restaurant.

Thanks to all of our awesome student leaders and their parents for a great year of community service.

Remember to play this summer- outside, at the park, in the mud, in the dirt, at the beach- just play!
