DISMISSAL CHANGE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 3RD
Dear Melville Families,
During COVID we did our part to space out our students for the sake of health and wellness. Also during that time we had a high number of "student pick ups".
Our "student pick up" numbers have declined and effective January 3rd we will move to one "Student Dismissal Pick up" location for all students, which will be DOOR 3 the Cafeteria.
This is a busy time at our school and if you prefer to change your child to a bus rider, then please call First Student at 401-683-5130 and then email our office to confirm the start date. For those families who will be picking up their children from school each day please use the guide below to ensure a safe pickup. A reminder to all families to walk in the area that we have outlined in red in the image provided, keep your children with you, hold the hand of younger children, and exit quickly and safely to allow room for other families to pick up their children. As always, please drive slowly in our parking lot at all times. Dismissal runs from 3:15-3:30.
Here is a full page explanation of dismissal operations for your reference, should you like to print it for your own records.

Yearbook Help Needed!
Having a yearbook means so much to the students-please consider lending a hand. If you are interested, then please email me at lauried@portsmouthschoolsri.org.
Yearbooks Ready to Order!
Yearbook Order: https://ybpay.lifetouch.com/
School ID: 12072423
If you do not pew order a yearbook, then we may not have enough available to purchase at the end of the school year when it comes out. We order a some extra, but the only guarantee is to pre order, so I highly recommend ordering one ahead of time.
If you have a child in grade 4 and need financial assistance to purchase a yearbook, then please email me directly at lauried@portsmouthschoolsri.org and we will make sure your child gets a yearbook.

Our Food Pantry is Always Open!
In keeping with the spirit of giving, our Feinstein Jr. Scholars are excited to start an in-school food pantry that our students and families can donate to and access when needed.
Please help us as we continue to support our community by sending in food items with your child from time to time. Please email
Mrs. Powell: powelld@portsmouthschoolsri.org or
Mrs. Pascoe: pascoen@portsmouthschoolsri.org
if you would like to access our food pantry during the school year.
