2 TAYLOR HS STUDENTS RECEIVE PRESTIGIOUS RECOGNITION
Congratulations to two Taylor High School students, Henry Hawkins and Katherine Cruze, who are two of 62,000 students from across the country to earn academic honors from the College Board’s National Recognition Programs! These National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country, helping them stand out during the admissions process. Colleges and scholarship programs use these honors to identify students from underrepresented groups through College Board’s Student Search Service.
Both Henry and Katherine earned this recognition by excelling on their PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or AP Exams and in their classrooms. Students who may be eligible have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have excelled on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10, or earned a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP Exams and attend school in a rural area or small town. Both students will be awarded at the beginning of the next school year.
When THS Counselor, Katie Ryan was made aware of the recognitions, she stated “Henry and Katherine are excellent students on all levels. Their hard work has paid off and we are so excited to see what the future holds for these outstanding students.”
We are so proud of both of them and know this incredible opportunity will help with a positive start to their college years.

Disney's Moana Jr.
Disney’s Moana JR. is playing at The Bruce and Margaret Knapp Performing Arts Center from Thursday, November 10th through Sunday, November 13th (dates and times listed below). The 60-minute musical adventure, designed for Kindergarten through 12th-grade performers, is based on the 2016 Disney film Moana. The Three Rivers Children’s Theatre cast includes over 170 students led by Robin Picchioni, Emily Hannon, Casey Knarr, and Laura Rinehart.
Pay $5.00 at the door for our Thursday, November 10th performance beginning at 4:30 pm. This performance is a special preview for Three Rivers Faculty and Staff, as well as community members that wish to avoid crowds, nighttime driving, etc. Interested in our other performances? Visit the website listed below for more information.
See the line where the sky meets the sea? You’ll love this thrilling and heartwarming stage adaptation of the coming-of-age tale of Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. She and the demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as she learns to harness the power that lies within. Adapted for school-age performers, this musical includes favorite songs by Tony®, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, such as “How Far I’ll Go,” “Shiny,” and “You’re Welcome.” With its empowering message of bravery, Moana JR. is sure to awaken your inner hero!
