With spring break right around the corner, I would like to take a minute to remind students of the importance of taking some time to recharge during your time off. When we return on April 8, seniors will have just under six weeks of school remaining and underclassmen will have just a bit more. It's a long (but quick!) stretch that requires a lot of focus and hard work, so taking care of yourself during that break is important. Get plenty of rest, spend time with loved ones, get outside and enjoy the spring weather and fresh air. If you're working or traveling over the break, try to find some downtime as well to recharge your batteries. You all deserve it!
I'd also like to make a gentle plug to try to knock out some volunteer hours over the break, especially any seniors who have not completed their 10 hour community service requirement. Not only can you complete a graduation requirement, but it also feels great to give back to your community. If you need ideas, make sure to visit the LSN Community Service website, located under the Counseling tab of our homepage. If needed, grab a community service log from our office before you leave for the break.
