Dear Washington Families:

Thank you to everyone who came out to attend the PTO meeting this week! We have a lot of exciting activities planned in the coming weeks and are thankful to all of our parents and teachers for their collaboration and support. Please see below for more details on how to support these upcoming events.

As you may know, our administrative team hosts a monthly Parent University at the PTO meetings. The topic for November was "Growth Mindset", which focused on strategies parents can use to develop resilience and positive thinking within their children. Please see here for the slide presentation that was shared with parents and staff at the meeting.

This week we celebrated Veteran's Day and would like to express our appreciation for all those who have served through military service. We are very thankful for your dedication and sacrifice to our country. This past week our Wildcats engaged in a variety of learning experiences in their classrooms to honor the holiday. Activities included many read-alouds about veterans, videos to learn about the holiday, art and writing activities, and more.

We have one week before the start of Thanksgiving Break. This is a special time of year when we take time to appreciate the people and things we are thankful for. On behalf of the staff at Washington, we would like to thank you for all of your support and wish you a safe, healthy, and happy Thanksgiving.
