12 Days of Christmas
Frozen Turkey Bowling-Reading Contest
-We will still be hosting Frozen Turkey Bowling after the dodgeball game for the Top Reader in each class.
-Since we don't have Reading Counts yet, please determine with your grade level ELA team how you will select top reader for each HR (number of minutes, number of pages, parent signatures, etc.)
-This will not require a permission slip so I will ask for names the day day before.
Recess
-When it is an indoor recess day, please make sure you are still incorporating movement. It should not be computer time. Consider appropriate dance videos, go noodle, etc.
MTSS: What's New?
New data collection Form
You can view this here.
WHY? Goal is to improve communication between those providing interventions and HR teachers, give an overall view of the grade level and clearly identify students for PST.
(Thanks to Caley for this suggestion!)
Kid Talks
WHY? We tried to loop into PLC times and didn't have enough time. We will now have informal chats weekly at PLC and a formal one once a month.
Additional Training
December 13th-Training for 4th (all) and 5th ELA teachers on breaking down reading into specific skill needs. 6th ELA a date will be TBD.
Always for any info on interventions or processes please refer the the MTSS Site.
