Welcome to the BHS Express

Hello Bulldog Families.

It was a pleasure welcoming back all of our high school students from their Thanksgiving breaks. Some entered ready to go while others were struggling with the adjustment back to an earlier morning. We were happy to see them and made sure we let them know how much we missed them!

We have two weeks of regular classes with an adjusted exam schedule on December 19-21, 2022. Please take note of this schedule below. All students will be dismissed early on Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. Drivers, car riders, and bus riders will be dismissed at this time.

Please take a few minutes to check your student’s progress book account. We are in the final stretch, and this is the time to encourage them to work with their teacher to make up any missing work.

Thank you for supporting our PTO Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser. The gift cards will be arriving within the next few weeks just in time for gift giving!

We also have a Toys for Tots collection box in our high school office. Feel free to drop off any unwrapped toys.

• As the weather is starting to fluctuate outside, so does the high school building. Please make sure your student is dressing in layers as we can’t guarantee consistent temperatures throughout. We are seeing an increase in students carrying blankets. Please encourage your students to keep them at home and wear a hoodie or sweatshirt.

• 2022 Yearbooks Distribution Information:

• After/during November: Ship out the rest of the yearbooks
  

• Substitutes will be allowed to pick up books for others provided they have written confirmation (an email from the graduate or an email to Mr. Mills from the graduate) or verbal confirmation (graduate indicates approval over the phone during pickup)

• The First Semester Exam Schedule is linked here: First Semester Exam Schedule There will be NO late arrivals or early dismissals on Monday and Tuesday. The only day students are permitted to leave early is Wednesday. Remember, this does not apply to CCP students. All BHS students will be dismissed on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

• Hope Squad sponsors Therapy Pets before Exams in December
  
• We know that semester exams and the Holidays can be stressful. Volunteers from Pets Partners of Greater Cincinnati will be here at BHS in December!
  
• Students will have an opportunity to spend time with with the therapy pets, their handlers and learn their stories
  
• More details will be announced at school in early December
• Great Oaks Career Centers
• Great Oaks specializes in career and technical education for both high school students and adults. At four campuses, Great Oaks high school students prepare for careers and college, with over 30 career programs available. Great Oaks will visit BHS to present to our 10th grade students on December 14th. In January, 10th grade students will go for a visit to Live Oaks or Scarlet Oaks, depending on the program of interest. Online applications need to be submitted by February 7, 2023 for priority consideration.
