September 2023
Welcome back! Another exciting and wonderful year is upon us! So many opportunities await you in Islip Middle School, so be certain to get involved!
I hope you took time this summer to be with family and friends to recharge your batteries. Let’s begin this year with all the positive energy you can muster. Speaking of recharging batteries and positive energy, remember to bring your computer fully charged for the first day of school. Students new to Islip Middle School will get their laptops within the first few days.
Just a reminder, while in Islip Middle school, cell phones cannot be used as computers. Only school issued laptops are appropriate for in school use. Cell phones should be off and out of site during school hours. Islip Middle School has a no cell phone use expectation during the school day while in school. This includes lunch, recess, hallways, restrooms, and locker rooms. Cellphones should be off and out of site while in school. We are asking parents for their support and if the need arises, to reach out to our main office to communicate with children, especially in emergency situations. The number is (631) 650-8500.
Other information can be found on our Middle School website, click here.

Middle School Families,
No doubt you're excited for the 2023-24 school year to begin. It is an exciting time of year! The Middle School team has created an amazing world for students to spend the day. IMS is a terrific place to learn, grow, and have fun. New friendships will be created, and old friendships will be re-ignited. The year will be filled with lots of activities, learning and building entertainment. We have thought provoking as well as fun filled advisories, intramurals, school sports and clubs for you to join and keep you involved and connected to the Islip spirit which travels through all of us here at the Middle School. I encourage you to get involved and make your Middle School year the best year ever!
In support of all our student’s endeavors at Islip Middle School, please be aware there will be NO CELL PHONE usage while in the building during the school day.
GO BUCS!
Enjoy,
