Monitor Elementary School
January 2023
Message from Principals
The new year is here! We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break. We are eager to welcome students back to school and begin our second semester. This month we will be celebrating our students' academic progress at our awards assembly on January 18th. We will also be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge during the week of January 23rd. Students will be MAP testing this month as well. This test measures student progress toward mastery of grade level content in reading and math and helps our teachers plan for instruction. Our students have grown so much over the first semester, and we are excited for them to be able to show all they have learned. Here's to a wonderful second semester and a great 2023!
Mrs. Andi Acuff, Principal
Mrs. Cassie Marquette, Assistant Principal

Student Attendance
Attendance at school is important for successful academic progress. Regular attendance it also required by Arkansas State Law 6-18-221. It is important for students to be at school each day and on time. Our goal at Monitor Elementary is to have all students miss no more than five days each semester. We do understand that children get sick periodically, however students should be at school unless they have a fever, have been vomiting, or have diarrhea. In addition, every effort should be made to schedule appointments outside school hours or on non-school days. Please call the school office at (479) 750-8749 or reach out to your child's teacher if your student will not be at school.
