SNOW! Finally, we have some snow to play in on the playground and it looks as though it will last for a while. We have decided to change our sledding procedures. In the past, each class had a designated day to sled. We have changed this to any student in any class may sled at recess. This will allow more students to take advantage of this activity daily.

On Wednesday, we practiced our second school-wide lockdown drill. Students and staff did a great job quietly sheltering in place. A big thank you to Officer Dominic Marco of the Phippsburg Police Department for coming in to help us on his day off! We are so fortunate to be a part of such a supportive community.

Remember that tomorrow is another PES Spirit Day! We will dress like "Mainahs." Wear your favorite comfortable outfit that reflects your/your child's ideal of a "Mainah." Some ideas: LLBean boots, flannel shirt, Carhartt clothing, blaze orange, wool socks, long johns, anything Boston Red Sox, lobster anything, muck boots, etc. Be creative and have fun!

The student dental hygiene clinic with Judi Jones has been rescheduled to Monday, January 22nd, starting around 9AM.

Community participation is always welcome and wanted at the RSU1 School Board meetings, and the next one is Monday, January 22nd, at 6PM at Morse High School.

If you’d like to help classrooms in a big way for a small price, please consider sending in a box or two of tissues. We always need them! Thank you
