Make plans to join us for Thanksgiving Dinner at 6:00 on Sunday night, November 19 in the Gym. Our sister church, Trinity Baptist, will be also be joining us for the meal. Please bring a side dish and a dessert to share. The church will provide turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, and drinks.

I had a conversation recently with a new EBC attender about how difficult it is to visit a church for the first time. It was good to be reminded that while many of us feel right at home each Sunday, that is not the case for visitors. He was complimentary about how many of you initiated conversations with him and invited him to a Grow Group. I’m thankful for that and want to keep this before you. The Biblical word hospitality means to “welcome strangers”. Each week, you have an opportunity to practice Biblical hospitality - to introduce yourself to a stranger and build a relationship. Scan the room before the service and during the greeting time to look for people you don’t know. Then go out of your way to welcome them - go sit with them - invite them to lunch with you and other members. Keep up the good work!

Shoeboxes are due This Sunday! Hopefully you are making good progress finding items for the shoeboxes. There are several filler items on the table across from the Worship Center.

Items include: notebooks, crayons, scissors, and a few toys. Your box will be a blessing to the boy or girl who receives the gift. It will also be an opportunity for them to hear the gospel and learn more about the Savior.

If you would like to bake a pie for the teachers of WPS please let Katie Ramirez know. They can be dropped off at the church November 14th before 1pm or the day before. Pies that are needed are apple, peach, pecan, pumpkin, cherry, or anything non refrigerated, and please no glass. For any questions call Katie @ 580-374-2008. Thank you!
