Top 5 things you need to know
1. Complete Readiness Tests in USA Test prep for Math and Reading
2. Attend All Orientation Sessions and Watch the Recordings of Any Missed Sessions
3. Complete Your "All About Me" Slide and Send It to Your Homeroom Teacher
4. Complete the Online Learning K-8 Course in the OLS. There are 4 lessons total.
5. Have your LC mark your attendance for each day
Course specific information For week of August 20th
3rd Grade Reading with Mrs. Deegan-Smith
Hello 3rd Graders! I'm so excited to start reading with you this week. Please look at each ELA course below to help you prepare the week of August 20-24.
Literature: You will read in your "K12 Classics for Young Readers" pages 2-5, and complete "Language Arts Activity Book" pages LC 1 & 2. I'll discuss what LC pages are in Class Connect on Monday. You will complete OLS Unit 1 Lessons 1-4.
Writing: You will write in your "My Journal" pages 2-7. You will complete OLS Unit 1 Lessons 1-5.
Vocabulary: No materials are required. You can print word cards from the OLS to study. You will complete OLS Unit 1 Lessons 1-5
Spelling: Learning Coaches will prepare one of the games found in the Spelling Handbook. I will provide some additional practice activities in Class Connect on Monday. You will complete OLS Unit 1 Lessons 1-5.
Reading Class Connect: We will be book walking through all of our ELA books. Please have something to write with and a notebook/folder/spiral/paper.
3rd Grade Math with Mrs. Moore
Welcome to third grade math! Next week we will be covering classroom expectations, as well as learning to use our Blackboard tools, and playing some fun icebreaker games. Please make sure you bring a pencil, a journal (can be a composition book or a spiral), and a working headset with a microphone to class on Monday. You will also need some multiplication flashcards to practice with your learning coach each day. Your math OLS assignments for the week are Unit 1 Lessons 1-4. I can’t wait to see you on Monday at 12:30!

Welcome to 3rd grade social studies! Next Friday during class we will spend some time getting to know each other. We will work together to set some goals, share our favorite books and work in breakout rooms. Please bring a pencil, notebook (can be a composition book or a spiral), and a working headset with a microphone. Your social studies OLS assignments for the week are unit 1, lessons 1 and 2. We are going to have a great year!

3rd Grade Health/PE/Art with Ms. Buchanan
Welcome to 3rd grade!!! I am very excited to begin our classes. We have a fun year ahead of us full of activities, projects and much, much more. This week you will begin your lessons in the OLS. We will practice using the BBC tools and navigate through the OLS. I would like to see any artwork or creations you may have handy to share on the web cam.
