Good Afternoon Families,

We had a wonderful Veterans Day Assembly last week. Here is a brief video to enjoy.

Today your student is bringing home a report card for term 1. Please review this document with your student to celebrate successes and make a plan for improvement if needed.

Our school nurses will begin scoliosis screenings, vision and hearing screenings, and height and weight recordings for grade 7 next week (November 28, 29, 30 Dec 1 and 2).

Scoliosis only screenings for grades 6 and 8 will follow. To opt out, you can email Nurse Richardson at margaretrichardson@walthampublicschools.org with OPT OUT in the subject line.

As the weather turns colder we want to remind all families that the building does not open for students until 7:40am.

Finally, the Fall Play (Camelot and Camelittle) is tonight, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday. Both shows start at 7pm. There will be a concessions table with snacks for sale. Tickets will be sold at the door! $5 for kids, and $10 for adults. It is general seating only.

COVID Testing Kits

The State has given Waltham Public Schools more free COVID testing kits. We will be sending home 4 tests with each student on 11/22. In an effort to keep our whole school community healthy, we would encourage you to test your child before they return to school on 11/28/22 and again on 1/3/23. This will leave 2 tests to use if someone else in the household should develop symptoms of COVID.

Should you want to OPT OUT and not have kits sent home with your child, please let your School Nurse know.

The Harlem Wizards Are Back – Save the Date!

This popular city-wide event is back in the Field House on February 3, 2023. We are forming a volunteer committee to help with sponsorship requests, vendor printing and coordination, and event day logistics. If interested please contact: jenaferpriore@walthampublicschools.org.
