Procedure Updates
Student IDs Required
This week, students received their new 2023-2024 school ID card.
Students will need to show these cared when required by the school.
We will primarily be using IDs to check into school in the morning if they are late. If they do not have their ID, they will need to wait for students who do to check in.
So that they have it easily accessible in the morning, we recommend that students:
- put their ID on the back of their phone, if they have a clear phone case.
- take a picture of their ID. Keep in mind, pictures cannot be scanned, so this should be a backup only
Please also remember that if a staff member asks a student for name and/or to see their ID, they must comply.
Having IDs on their person and displayed in accordance with school rules is not a new policy, and it is not because of anything that has gone "wrong". We are making sure that we are operating in accordance with Board of Education policies. In fact, we wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate the student body of NFHS- the vast majority of students are taking care of our new space, and acting responsibly.
Too Many Students Late to School
Our numbers of students who are late to school have been creeping up, and we need parents' help! While we know that traffic can be an issue, we need our students to be on time every day. If you must drive your student to school, please leave earlier- the doors open at 7:05.
We encourage all students to take the bus to be sure they get to school on time in the morning.
Coffee/Refresher/Smoothie Deliveries (and the like) Will Not Be Accepted at School
