I LOVE Halloween at Hopkins. Anytime we get to participate with the kids is an enjoyable time! Thank you to Mr. DiMattia, Mrs. Herrmann, Mrs. Nero, and Mrs. Sabo for a wonderful party. We had a craft station, photobooth, and crazy games! It was a fun time!

As we move on in math, I am hoping that I can count on you to keep enforcing the practice of math facts, multiplication, and division. It would be greatly appreciated! Nothing fancy, just the standard old algorithms. We will continue to practice these as well but it needs A LOT of practice.

Congrats to Becca, Savannah, and Jenna for the winnings at Boo Bash Bingo! It was a huge success.

We do have school on Halloween day. :)

Math: Algebra Unit (order of operations, numerical expressions, coordinate planes)

Reading: We are reading The Witches whole group and continuing to focus on paired articles in small groups.

Writing: New spelling words this week. Test Thursday. Informational writing.

Science/Social Studies: Ecosystems/Ancient Indian Civilizations. Geography will continue to have a focus as we continue to Mystery Hangout throughout the year.

Hello! I am a 5th grade teacher at Hopkins Elementary. I enjoy spending time with my little family in Hiram, Ohio. I have three children: Ricky (7), Nora (4), and Sean (3). I love my church, road tripping, everything Disney, and creating memories. I have been at Hopkins for 10 years now between 4th and 5th grade. We are going to have a great year!
