Leader of the Pack
We have two leaders to recognize this week!
One student shared his personal supplies with a classmate who needed help focusing!
The other student "took time out of his recess to go around the playground and pick up trash!" (He also says he wants to be a garbage collector when he grows up!)
Character and leadership in our youth are a source of promise and hope for a better tomorrow! Great job, kiddos and families!
Starting Sept 26th...
September 26th will begin the 2nd six weeks of the school year! Starting on this day, we will no longer be allowing parents/visitors to walk students to classrooms in the morning. All adults dropping students off in the mornings will need to say their goodbyes at the front entrance. This adjustment to the procedure will increase safety by eliminating unsupervised visitors in the building, decongesting the entryway where students are entering the building, and freeing up front office personnel to answer phone calls and handle campus needs at the front desk. (Parents of students with special circumstances can speak with office personnel to discuss arrangements.)
Please talk to your students in advance to prepare them for this upcoming adjustment! Thanks for your cooperation!
Literati Book Fair coming soon!
SGE Attendance Tracking
SGE's ADA for this past week of school dropped to 95.33%.
ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance and is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. "98 IS Great!", so 98% is our goal! We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able. Let's work toward 98%!
See the flyer below for Homecoming dress-up themes!
