Recap: York's Wild Kingdom
On June 11th, nearly 60 people joined our annual adventure to York's Wild Kingdom. Families were able to see monkeys, kangaroos, prairie dogs, and even some lions. Amusement park rides kept the kids occupied and laughing endlessly. To top it all off, York's Wild Kingdom is only a five minute walk to the beautiful Maine coastline. Between the zoo, the rides, and the waves, the Mystic community had the adventure of a lifetime!
Recap: Overnight Camping Trip at Dune's Edge
From June 26th to June 27th, the Mystic embarked upon an action packed overnight camping trip. We thank both Maggie and Emmanuel from Big City Mountaineers for coordinating the trip and showing us around Cape Cod. Mystic staff and students beached out, witnessed seals in the wilderness, and even woke up at 4:30 AM to view a beach sunrise. The Mystic community showed strength and open-mindedness, trying new things and stepping out of their comfort zones. Thank you to Big City Mountaineers, MLC Staff Bridget and Kevin, and the Mystic Learning Center participants who came to enjoy nature's beauty. We can't wait to do it again!
