Dear Tenino Families,

Thank you all for attending parent-teacher conferences. It was great to see everyone. With the return from a fabulous spring break, our staff are eager to get back into learning routines. Here is how families can support our students at home:

• Check Class Dojo every day for updates and reminders
• Schedule a time and create a place for homework and independent *reading
• *Most teachers require about 20 minutes a night
• Establish regular sleep routines
• Attend school every day, on time and stay all day

By working together we are creating a fantastic elementary school experience for all our students. Thank you for all your support. Let's keep it up and remain T9O strong!

Students have completed the ELA portion of the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA). Students will be taking the Math SBA this week. However, due to the shortened length of the test, we made the following changes to the schedule:

• Monday - No Testing
• Tuesday / Wednesday - Math SBA in the morning
• Thursday / Friday - ELA and Math make up testing

Be sure to have your child get a good night's rest and eats a full breakfast on the days of assessment. Test results help us plan instruction and will be available for parents later in the year. Thank you for your support.

Six of our students read samples of their writing to the school board at the meeting on Monday, March 28th. The students did a fantastic job. Teachers, parents and school board members were very proud. From Mrs. Craig-Mickel's class - Abigail Uy and Olivia Taylor, from Mrs. Hale's class - Zoe Kujawa and Owen Taylor, from Mr. Anderson's class - Dera-Se Hicks and Georgia Gore.
