A note from Ms. Walsh
Happy Friday Mountain View! I hope everyone had a great short week. As a reminder, we are still collecting for CASA, and the countdown to packing our care kits is on; we are only 2 weeks away from SEL day! It has been awesome to see all of the items collected by our students, specifically the 6th graders who have collected over 200 items to date! It is great to hear that we are coming together as a school community to help children in the foster care system. As a reminder: 5th graders will be collecting toothbrushes/toothpaste, 6th graders will be collecting face wash/moisturizer, 7th graders will be collecting deodorant, and 8th graders will be collecting shampoo/conditioner. All items should be travel sized.
On another note, check out this awesome article from the Screenagers Blog about Family Communication surrounding Tech. It offers an interesting perspective on how we use our phones: as a tool, to talk, or as a treat! Take a look at the conversation starters at the end of the article and see what your students have to say!
