Math Tutoring

Having trouble with math? Need a place to make up missing work? Math help will be available every Thursday from 3-4pm in room 10 with Mr. Holwegner. All grade levels are welcome!

Lesher’s Adopt-A-Family program has begun! See that empty box in your ELO classroom? Let’s get it filled with items to help a local family! Your ELO has posted a wish list of items we hope to collect, and you can sign up for what you plan to donate. Donations of wrapping paper are also greatly appreciated!

Want to help a different way? Create thoughtful cards, puzzles, and mazes that can be included with the gifts!

PCA will be hosting our quarterly Orientation next Tuesday December, 5th to start 2nd semester at PCA. Orientation consists of a brief presentation by our Principals and then if students want to be considered for acceptance, they stay for a short individual interview with a staff member.

“Poudre Community Academy is an alternative school, serving grades 8-12, that provides students with a small supportive environment in a closed campus setting. Poudre Community Academy has a small pupil-teacher ratio and extra support staff, providing successful academic experiences through improved academic and social skills. PCA is a great option for students who are needing a smaller flexible learning environment. We offer a 7 period/day school Monday through Friday. Students have access to FRCC programs, dual enrollment opportunities on and off campus, athletics and other school activities.”

Future Orientation dates: Wednesday, February 21 (for Q3) and Thursday, May 16 (for 24-25)

This week, updates have been rolled out to all student laptops. To apply these updates, you'll be required to restart your laptop multiple times. To determine if a restart is necessary, click on the Windows button; if prompted, choose "Update and Restart" or "Update and Shut Down." Ensure your laptop is plugged in and charging before initiating the restart. The process will take approximately 20-30 minutes, with some restarts potentially lasting several hours. Keep the screen open throughout the update. Note that these updates will occur on the second Tuesday of each month. Good Morning, Film Enthusiasts and Mentors!

Fort Collins High School will host Lambkin Film Fest 3 on Wednesday, May 15th, from 5-7, in McNeal Auditorium at FCHS. As first quarter wraps up, we want to share our submission link, so Q1 students have an opportunity to submit films.

Details:

Who: Any PSD middle or high school student or team

When: Thursday, May 15th from 5-7pm

Where: FCHS's McNeal Auditorium.

What: Original films no longer than five minutes and that adhere to an MPAA rating of PG for middle school submissions and PG-13 for high school films.

Submission Deadline: Due Monday, April 29th
