A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Winter has arrived! As a reminder, we do go outside for recess every day for thirty minutes. Each class does have a "borrow" box if a student forgets hats, mittens, or snow pants. If your child needs any of these items, we have generous donors who are willing to purchase winter gear. Please reach out to me or our social worker, Terry McCartney tmccartney@rsu1.org.
Students are working so hard preparing for the concert next Thursday evening.
Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Michaud have made some beautiful selections of music. Not only are we working on learning our music, but also on appropriate concert etiquette. Please drop students off (and you take their coats) at their classrooms NO earlier than 5:45. Teachers will not be available to supervise before that time.
As you will see in this newsletter, our PTA has been very busy. We had a wonderful Scholarship Fair last Saturday that was very well attended. In addition to this they are organizing a bake sale by donation, which will take place before and after the concert on Thursday. Come prepared to snatch up some tasty treats!
HANNAFORD HELPS SCHOOLS
Thank you for supporting PES through Hannaford Helps Schools! You contributed to $255 in earnings for PES to use for items and activities not included in the annual budget. 😃
MIDCOAST YOUTH THEATER MUSICAL AND FREE TICKETS
Midcoast Youth Theater will present the family-friendly musical Newsies January 4-7 at Brunswick High School's Crooker Theater. This show features nearly 100 singers, dancers, and other performers in a popular show that will be a great event for the whole family to enjoy.
More information about Newsies can be found at MYT's website, midcoastyouththeater.com.
For any families who wish to request free tickets to Newsies: MYT and its Ticket Sponsor, Bath Savings, are making free tickets available to each performance for families who otherwise might not be able to attend. To reserve your complimentary tickets, please send an email to tickets@midcoastyouththeater.org and provide your name, the size of your family who will be attending, including the number of children and adults, and the date and time of the show you would like to see. You will receive an email reply to confirm your reservation and with instructions on how to pick up your tickets at the show.

PTA NOTES
Thank you all for helping make the Scholarship Craft Fair happen! We had at least 20 pies donated, and all the ingredients for the lobster stew! Crafters and shoppers were both very happy, and we are grateful to say we raised enough to continue all the scholarships.
Do you like to bake? Or, do you know someone else who does? We are looking for some baked goods donations for our Bake Sale, which will be open in the hallway on December 14th, before and after the PES Winter Holiday Concert, which starts at 6PM. Cost will be by donation.
We are also accepting donations of small new or gently used items for the Holiday Store. Please place items in the collection box in the PES lobby. We are grateful for your support!
In accordance with School Board policy, the following promotional announcements have been included at the request of the sponsoring organization because they may be of interest to students and their families. These activities are not sponsored by the school, and inclusion of these announcements does not constitute endorsement of the organizations or activities by the school.
