Note from the Principal

Happy Friday Slater Nation!


January is National School Board Recognition month! Please take time to thank our local school board members for all that they do to support our students at Slate Valley.


We will be rolling out our student course selection process this coming Monday. Students will go over the selection process during their Monday morning Advisory. Their selections are not due until the end of the week (giving them time to talk with their teachers and bring the Google Form home so parents/guardians may review the options with their children). I have attached a brief video and a PDF of the Google Form survey below that students will use for their course selections.


January 26th marks the end of our first Semester. report cards will be finalized by January 30th and mailed home soon afterward (it usually takes us a day or two to stuff envelopes). We will also be updating our extra-curricular eligibility list once grades are finalized. Please contact the school if you have any issues using PowerSchool to view your child(ren)'s academic progress.
