Forest Glen School

Supply pick up for Forest Glen students will take place on Monday. If your child had any items left in their cubby area/coat hook/ or classroom the items have been bagged and can be picked up at the following times.

Monday, May 11, 9 am to 12 pm

• Last name A - I 9 to 10 am

• Last name J - Q 10 to 11 am

• Last name R - Z 11 am to 12 pm

PLEASE NOTE:

• If you do not participate in Pick Up, the items will be stored in your child’s next grade level classroom (elementary only).

• Please wear a mask when you come for Pick Up.

• Please make a sign to display in your vehicle with your children’s first and last name so we can see who is pulling up to keep the line moving from a safe distance.

• Staff will place the items in your trunk or backseat to allow for maximum social distancing.

Returning D41 Property

Library Books

If you plan to pick up items, we ask that you please bring back any library books you may have at home that belong to the school library. Please put them in a bag and bring them with you. We will gladly take them and make sure they are returned.

Textbooks

If you have text books at home, they need to be returned to school. Please put them in bags and bring back on your designated day listed above. Hadley is seeking the return of any Social Studies textbooks.

Musical Instruments

Please check with your child’s music teacher/director about procedures for returning instruments.

Technology

• Loaner materials of technology should be returned. Again, please bag and bring them back.
• Do not bring Chromebooks. Chromebooks stay home until further notice.

Yearbooks

Parents will receive a communication directly from your school principal regarding a distribution process and date for yearbooks.

Battle of the Books is an optional reading program offered to 5th grade students. Readers come together to demonstrate their abilities and test their knowledge of the books they have read from the official Battle of the Books book list. Teams read, strategize, and battle other teams to earn points for the questions they answer correctly. This year, Battle of the Books ended differently than anticipated, but it started off with a high level of enthusiasm as it always does! We'd like to recognize those 5th graders who participated!
