Husky Howler 10/20/23 (Guardians)

PACK Guardians,

Please take a moment to watch the video above. It will make you feel blessed and thankful for what you have. If you have a child that struggles with having an attitude of gratitude, then I recommend watching it with them as well! It was a great week at Hubbard where our 8th graders took their PSAT test, the Your Future is Now event was awesome, and our 7/8th grade A/B/C volleyball teams ALL WON their games! We hope you have a wonderful weekend and get some much needed rest!

HOT DOG SUPPER - Mark your calendars for Friday, November 3rd from 5-7pm where we will have our annual Hot Dog Supper event. We will have dogs cooking dogs, a DJ, student performances (band, choir, cheer, dance, orchestra), mechanical bull, booths, and even a hot dog eating contest! We want to see YOU there! There are some awesome STUDENT MADE flyers below but some of the times are incorrect. This is 5-7pm and more details will come next week!

Student pictures - Who takes the BEST student pictures? MOMS AND DADS! We want YOUR awesome pictures to utilize in our yearbook for this year. I have created a google folder that you can upload them into. This has many folders inside for the different events we have had including the first day of school, sporting events, new student orientation/open house, theater, cheer, 6th grade social, homecoming, etc. Please utilize this google folder to upload your pictures!

Balls/Blankets/Bears/Etc. - Students should not be bringing sports balls from home. During lunch, for students who have VIP status, we provide balls for them to utilize on the blacktop. We also do not allow blankets, stuffed animals, toys, or outside electronic games. Thank you for understanding and supporting us!

Absences - We have seen an uptick in guardians trying to turn in absence documentation very late. We are required to have that documentation within three days of the absence. Please make sure to send us your doctor's note or other excuses ASAP. You can always email them to hubbardattendance@tylerisd.org

Lunch charges - Please check this Hubbard Lunch list for your child's student ID. If their ID is on the list, then you previously qualified for free lunch but we do not have a current application. You will now begin being charged for lunches. Please go online and fill out the application through food services.

Mrs. Anderson's art class is taking part in a pumpkin carving art competition that was coordinated by the Tyler Center for Dental Health. The school in the TYLERISD that receives the most "likes" on their website page will receive a $500 check for their art department. The winner of this competition will be announced on November 5th.

Calling all of our 6th grade future Red Raiders! Please join us for Tyler Legacy Future Red Raider Night sponsored by Whataburger. Come out and support your Tyler Legacy Football team at middle school night. Wear your Red & Black, meet us at 6:35 PM to run through the tunnel and then stay to cheer on our Red Raiders. We are offering free admission to the game for our students with the purchase of a Future Red Raider T-shirt AND a paying adult admission. (Purchase of the shirt is not required to run through the tunnel.) T-shirts may be purchased using THIS LINK.
