PE October News V. 2
10-16-2022
Hello Families
Thank you to everyone who helped pull off another successful walk-a-thon! Students raised over $19,000.00 for our school! Way to go! We have been busy scheduling experience prizes and celebrating our students. Shout out to our volunteers and PTA for all of the prep work, and commitment to our school family! We couldn't have done it without you!
We are prepared for our next professional learning and collaboration day tomorrow on the 17th, and we are so thankful for this time! We will continue to plan for engaging instruction in our classrooms, including digging deeper into our new ELA program. Our staff is grateful for the opportunity to work together and collaborate around upcoming lessons and projects!
We also have our annual trunk or treat event, BooFest, coming up this week! On Thursday, October 20th from 5:30-6:30, we will have our trunks decorated, and staff will be ready to welcome our students and families through our parking lot with lots of candy! We hope you can come out and see us! We are still collecting candy; if you are interested in donating to our event, please send it into the front office with your student, or drop it by the front office any time!
Our students and staff are excited to welcome our parents back to our classroom celebrations! Our fall parties will be October 27th from 12:20-1:00 p.m. All K-5 celebrations are held at the same time and will be in your child's classroom. When you arrive please remember to bring your driver’s license with you to the front office so it can be entered into our Raptor school safety software. We appreciate your patience as we check in parents and follow our safety and security process. It may be a good idea to plan ahead and arrive 5-10 minutes early, and we will get you scanned in as quickly as we can.
Please don't forget as we are beginning to plan field trips and open up volunteer opportunities that you will need to complete the background check. We are encouraging you to go ahead and start that process now, as the process is taking up to a month or more currently. If you are interested in doing this, please see information below.
Have a wonderful week!
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to give me a call.
Sincerely,
Keri Collison
Principal
